Then again, Bowmore Mizunara Cask Finish was no ordinary project.
In a first for Scotch malt whisky, Bowmore’s celebrated Single Malt finished its maturation in highly prized Mizunara oak casks shipped 6,000 miles from the other side of the world to the distillery’s legendary No. 1 Vaults on Islay.
Marrying references to Scottish strength and passion with Japanese elegance and refinement, the carefully balanced copy interlaces eastern and western influences in a celebration of this unprecedented collaboration between two great whisky distilling nations.
