Port Ellen and Brora were, until recently, two of the most revered ‘lost’ distilleries in the global spirits industry.

Closed in 1983, the whiskies they produced have become some of the most highly prized and sought after single malts in the world, elevating the ghost distilleries to cult status amongst whisky enthusiasts and collectors.
Following plans announced in 2017, both distilleries have now been brought back into production thanks to a multi-million pound investment by Diageo, the worldās leading Scotch whisky company.
Working withĀ Heart & Feints, I had the privilege of writing VIP tour scripts for both, researching and telling the very different stories of these two iconic distilleries; one a masterpiece restored, the other a legend reborn.
